Beach Cup 2026 – Summer, Sun, Beach Cup!
This summer, we’re bringing that beach vibe back to Leuphana! At the Beach Cup, all students and staff members of the university, as well as university sports instructors, are invited to play beach volleyball in a relaxed atmosphere and have a great time together—no matter your skill level, the focus is on having fun!
Separate tournaments will be held on May 29 and June 19. You can show off your best performance in 2 vs. 2 matches.
The Beach Cups are aimed at players who enjoy the game. Skill level doesn’t matter, as the tournament format ensures that players are grouped by ability relatively quickly, so that everyone gets their fill of fun.
We’ll start the first round with four groups of three randomly selected teams, followed by the second round with three groups of four teams, each consisting of all first-, second-, and third-place finishers from the first round.
Each team must include at least one FLINTA* person.
Afterward, we’ll fire up the BBQ, so bring your own food to BBQ, and salads, etc., to share are welcome too!
