Beginner Course
In this course, you can learn to play volleyball from the ground up. No prior experience is necessary. You will be taught the fundamental techniques of the sport with lots of fun, including bumping and setting, as well as learning how to build a game.
Intermediate Course
To participate in the intermediate course, the following is required: mastery of the basic techniques, understanding of the 6-on-6 game, and, of course, enjoyment of volleyball.
Intermediate / Advanced Course:
This course introduces players to the runner system. A solid command of the basic techniques (setting, passing, hitting) is required.
Advanced Course
This course is aimed at committed volleyball players who want to deepen their skills on the court and prepare for a more challenging level of play. A good command of setting, bumping, and hitting (approximately 1-3 years of playing experience) is required. The course aims to deepen the understanding of the running system (6-on-6), teach new skills, and improve ball control, with the goal of potentially moving to the performance course.
Performance Group
The volleyball performance course is a training group focused on developing advanced volleyball skills and techniques. The following requirements are necessary for participation:
- Knowledge of the running system
- Extensive technical foundational knowledge
- Strong step (stemmschritt)
Since this is a training group, there will be progressively building training sessions.
Basic Training
The goal of this training is to teach and reinforce the technical and tactical fundamentals of volleyball, regardless of individual skill level. The focus is on basic techniques such as setting (overhead pass), bumping (forearm pass), serving, and simple attacking hits.
The training is designed so that both beginners and advanced players benefit:
- Beginners learn the correct execution of fundamental techniques from the start.
- Advanced players improve their technique, precision, and game awareness.
Additional key focuses include:
- Movement and positioning on the court
- Team communication
- Coordination and ball control
The exercises are structured progressively—from simple individual drills to game-like situations and small-sided games. This allows for a smooth transition from technical training to actual gameplay.
Free Play Group for All Skill Levels
The play group is open to everyone who enjoys playing volleyball. From beginners to pros, everyone is welcome. However, basic knowledge (bumping and setting) is required. In six-on-six play, we will play without fixed positions.
Advanced Free Play Group
This offering is aimed at all students, as well as staff, researchers, and PhD candidates who want to play volleyball, with a focus on having fun. Participants should have solid skills in setting, serving, attacking, and bumping, and should have already gained some experience with the movements involved in volleyball/beach volleyball.
We meet weekly for recreational-oriented play.
Important: You must have booked a volleyball card and can then register for the individual appointments! If you do not have a volleyball card, your individual bookings will be deleted! Likewise, the volleyball card alone is not sufficient to simply participate in appointments without having booked them.
