Im Odottemita-Workshop ("踊ってみた" - "I tried to dance") erkunden wir gemeinsam die Welt des japanischen Internetphänomens.

WORKSHOP
This is a binding booking. Cancellation of the workshop and a refund of the fee are valid only with a medical certificate.

Do you enjoy listening to video game soundtracks, Japanese pop music, or Vocaloid in your spare time? Then you’ve come to the right place! In the Odottemita workshop ("踊ってみた" – "I tried to dance"), we will explore the world of this Japanese internet phenomenon together. It’s all about capturing the emotions of the songs and the choreography. Many songs—by artists like Hatsune Miku, HoYoverse, and classic Japanese idol pop groups—provide the perfect foundation for covering existing routines or creating your own to share online. The Odottemita scene originated on the Japanese video-sharing platform "NicoNicoDouga" in 2007, where hobbyist dancers began sharing their passion for dancing to a wide variety of songs.
This workshop is a chance to get a taste of the genre, have fun, and simply immerse yourself in your favorite music. If you’d like to get an idea of what it’s all about, I’ve put together a short playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYV0ngI2GRV4NkQZRVnaw7MQYbzGUwYYF&si=8t1xgiIHeCmgp_KS
I look forward to seeing you there!
Attention: This Workshop takes place in the Dancelab W130 at the campus in the red field (Wilschenbrucher Weg 84, 21335 Lüneburg).
