The ski area: Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl
The Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl ski area with its 40 kilometers of slopes is a dream for skiers and snowboarders. Nestled in the breathtaking Salzburger Sportwelt, it offers a fantastic view of the surrounding Austrian Alps. Here you can rely on good snow conditions, and thanks to state-of-the-art lifts, access to the slopes and areas is quick and easy. With many wide, gentle slopes, the ski area is particularly suitable for beginners. For advanced skiers, the neighboring Zauchensee ski area offers excellent opportunities to further develop their skills. One highlight is the Absolut Park, the largest snow park in Austria - perfect for beginners and experienced riders to try out and have fun.
The accommodation: Hubertusalm
During our excursion, we will be staying at the beautiful Hubertusalm at an altitude of 1720 m - a cozy mountain hut with direct access to the slopes. This means that after a delicious breakfast, we will be the first to hit the freshly groomed slopes. The balcony offers a fantastic panoramic view of the Salzburg Alps. Our host Reinhard Kaml, known as "Reini", and his dedicated team create a warm atmosphere and always strive to fulfill all our wishes. We stay in homely rooms for 2 to 6 people, each with its own bathroom and WC. The rooms will be dividedn out on arrival (mixed rooms are also possible).
Catering: Full board
Our days start with a rich breakfast buffet, which also includes vegan options (breakfast drinks are included). At lunchtime there is a delicious vegan lunch at the hut. Groups traveling to Zauchensee can put together a lunchpack in the morning for the lunch break. Dinner at the Hubertusalm is a real highlight: Reini and his kitchen team conjure up a varied 4-course menu with salad buffet, starter, main course and dessert. There are always vegan and vegetarian options here too. Free drinking water is available at all times. Please note that other drinks are not included in the price.
Program: A good mix of action & relaxation
As a university sports center, we share the university's mission statement and want to live up to our educational mission with the snow sports excursion. This is why skiing and snowboarding lessons are a fundamental part of the trip. A team of qualified instructors will accompany the trip and give you ski and snowboard lessons in the mornings. We form homogeneous lesson groups for all skill levels, from advanced beginners to experts. Please indicate your level when registering, the final grouping will take place on site. Please note that changes are possible and there is no entitlement to a specific group.
The time after lunch is at your free disposal. You can explore the ski area, try out the Absolut Park or enjoy the sun at the Almstüberl.
In the late afternoon, the sauna is available for two hours every day. Days with women's, men's & mixed sauna are planned. In the evening there is an optional program. Of course, apres-ski is also possible at the bar, but alcohol consumption should be in responsible moderation.
Target groups
Participation requires a small amount of skiing or snowboarding experience (2-3 days), as there is no beginner's course within reach of the accommodation.
