YOGA - HATHA YOGA WITH FLOW ELEMENTS
Hatha is made up of the terms Ha and Tha, which mean sun and moon. In Hatha Yoga, this represents the balance of opposites—the union of masculine and feminine energy. The asanas (postures) are held for longer periods to build strength and create balance between body and mind.
We practice exercises that improve flexibility, enhance balance, release tension, and build muscle strength. Hatha Yoga is often a bit more static, so I will occasionally include some flow elements. We will practice sun salutations, various standing, seated, and lying postures, and of course end with Savasana. This means the class includes both challenging and relaxing elements.
In addition to the asanas, we will also do short breathing exercises to help reduce everyday and university stress even more effectively. All experience levels are welcome, as the postures can easily be adapted.
If you feel like moving in harmony with your body, working out a little, reducing stress, and practicing yoga together, feel free to sign up and give it a try. :)
