Lindy Hop
Beginners: Lindy Hop is a rhythmic and groovy couple dance, which developed among others from the Charleston at the end of the 20's and is the predecessor of Jive, Boogie Woogie and Rock'n'Roll.
It can be danced to the music of the 20's, to Rhythm'n'Blues and Rock'n'Roll music up to the music of the present (Electro-Swing...). In the course the basic steps with dance specific techniques of leading and following in 6- and 8-count are taught. It is common that in this couple dance in social dance often the change of the dance partner takes place. This will also be done in the course during the exercise, the learning will be accelerated, the fun factor greater! So there is no need to register in pairs, the couples will always find each other in the course. In the course it is determined who wants to be leader/follower.
Intermediate: You've been dancing Lindy Hop with slow, triple and kick steps in 6 and 8 counts for some time now.
We will, among other things, deal with kick step variations to faster music (>= 150 BPM), which can be danced and combined with slow steps and, if you are in solid condition, also with triple steps. Participants' requests for figures and combos are taken into account wherever possible and progress.
The dance partner will be changed frequently. There is no need to register as a pair; the couples will always find each other again in the course. This can also lead to a temporary change in leader/follower role.
Note: It is not necessary to register with a partner. Registration as an individual is also possible.
