HATA & YIN YOGA
We start the class with Hatha Yoga. The word is made up of Ha (sun) and Tha (moon). This means we do a mixture of strenuous and relaxing poses (asanas) to move well, improve posture and promote general well-being. Sometimes with a small breathing exercise (pranayama) or meditation.
For the rest of the class we do Yin Yoga, the most relaxing style of yoga where we stay in passive poses for a long time. Yin yoga loosens deep adhesions in the fascia, counteracts pain, promotes flexibility and ensures a balanced state of mind.
